A strange battery comparison in the video, because the middle class, the high-end and the folding ones compete with each other. The result is partly surprising.
A somewhat strange battery comparison should occupy us this weekend. There are three different categories of smartphones competing with each other, including Huawei’s Foldable Mate X, Huawei’s P40 Lite mid-range smartphone, and Xiaomi’s two high-end Mi 10 series smartphones. Like I said, a fun but interesting comparison. After all, what do you use when the battery should be able to do a lot?
Compared to Techmagnet, games and other standard Android applications are used to reduce battery power to everyday things as possible. Although the battery of the Mate Xs is quite large at 4500 mAh, the largest screen of the round with an 8 ″ diagonal also seems to require the most power. Even much more compared to the cheaper panel of the P40 Lite. There is a price difference of € 1000 between the devices.
Mate Xs: foldable disappoints with significantly shorter battery life
What the comparison also reveals are, of course, the disadvantages of the modern folding smartphones of the first generation. They are fragile and technically not at the highest level in all respects, but they are the ones that cost the most. When the Mate Xs ran out of power, the Mi 10 Pro with a 6.67 ″ screen and a 4500 mAh battery still had 30% left. Although the devices do not differ much from a technical point of view, the Mate X runs out too soon for me.
What is a folding smartphone?
Foldable is establishing itself as the name of a new generation of smartphones that have foldable or foldable OLED displays. They are the modern reincarnation of classic clamshell phones.
