Xiaomi has introduced a new TV that can even play local media at up to 8K. However, until now, only a few devices have provided such content, especially on smartphones, the maximum resolution is usually limited to 4K today. It should be different with Xiaomi in the near future, as the source code of a Xiaomi camera app already reveals today. The following text modules were found:

UHD 8K, 30 fps 8K UHD

A previously unknown Xiaomi smartphone will be able to record videos in 8K, probably at 7680 x 4320 pixels and at 30 frames per second. However, until now it has not been possible to reveal which of the Xiaomi smartphones will be able to record in such a high resolution, because not even the Snapdragon 855+ is capable of delivering the necessary power.

But we are approaching the end of the year, so we are also getting closer to next spring’s devices. Qualcomm will then show the successor Snapdragon 865, which may be in the Xiaomi Mi 10 and has even more to offer for the camera as well.
