Motorola wants 5G to return to the premium segment and has announced new high-end smartphones.
Motorola had been very focused this year on the mid-priced One series. But next year there should also be premium smartphones again. The Lenovo subsidiary confirmed this at a Qualcomm event, where the new Snapdragon 765 and 865 platforms were unveiled. The 5G era is used as an occasion to return to previous waters. Basically this is really going to take off starting next year.
Motorola wants Premium again
Motorola will continue the 5G era with its expanded line of 5G solutions in 2020, powered by the powerful Snapdragon 765 and 865 mobile platforms, strengthening our place in the premium flagship segment.
More recently, the first foldable Razr smartphone was no longer equipped with high-end hardware, but more like a lower-middle-class device. Changes are expected in this regard. The once high-priced Z series had been slowly phased out in recent years, the Z3 Force and Z4 were no longer available.
Now we can only hope that Motorola will finally leave MotoMods behind. A Z5 with a mini battery and a case that has hardly changed for years. In my opinion that would not be a good base, it would be better to force a real restart.
