Since Rihanna was seen sporting a full look from the Alexander Wang collection for H&M in New York, interest in the capsule collection the New Yorker designed for the Swedish fashion giant has grown even more. Now finally there are the first photos of the campaign!

And, unsurprisingly, they are very promising. Top models Joan Smalls, Raquel Zimmermann and Isabeli Fontana present looks from the Alexander Wang x H&M collection, which will be available on November 6 in 250 selected H&M stores and online. Like Alexander Wang, the capsule collection has the motto Sport and each of the models embodies classic American sports such as football and baseball. Functional materials, mesh details and large letters express the sporty influence, powerful cuts emphasize the typical Wang powerful woman look. We see boxer shorts, oversized shirts, a voluminous outer jacket with an emphasis on the waist and a dress with interesting draped details.

Alexander Wang x H&M: Will the collection be a success?

Unlike previous designer collaborations, no images appeared on the internet prior to today’s release of the campaign images for the Alexander Wang x H&M collection. Have safety standards been increased at H&M? Or is the interest in the New Yorker capsule collection not as high as before with Isabel Marant? The fact is, the design prodigy’s sporty designs certainly won’t suit everyone’s taste, unlike Isabel Marant’s. However, Alexander Wang fans will not miss the opportunity to raid the 250 selected H&M stores on November get a real “Wang”, or a “Wang for H&M”.Whether at Balenciaga, with his own brand or for H&M, Alexander Wang stays true to his urban and sporty style and shows once again how much creativity he really is. We think it takes a bit of getting used to the look and so far we can’t imagine walking down the street in shorts that would also look good in the boxing ring. However, of course, we will take a closer look at all parts of the Alexander Wang x H&M collection on November 6. What do you think? Do you like the first shots of the campaign?Image source: H&M
