Android: the new sharing menu is much faster and therefore finally good

Android 10 lands for Nokia 2.3, 8 Sirocco and Samsung Galaxy A50

Google only addressed a problem that was known for years with Android 10, the base of the share menu (Share Sheet) has been fundamentally revised. Now the menu is much faster, although it hardly differs in functionality. But not only speed is an important factor, the ranking of the applications offered now works more reliably for me and gives me the applications that I use more quickly. I myself share very often, for example on WhatsApp, Twitter and Todoist, which therefore I would always like to see prominently displayed.

The Share menu on Android is now much faster

Until now, querying third-party apps had taken too long, so the sharing menu on Android up to version 9 used to be very slow. A factor of great frustration. It usually takes a long time to load. During this time, the sharing menu was generally already visible, but was not reacting to user input. Now the menu is not only immediately visible, but can also be used. A clear advantage of Android 10, which improves my day to day. A comparison should show that the new version opens much faster:

After 27 milliseconds, the share menu is already visible to 50 percent of Android 10 users, while it loads longer on Android 9 and only appears on the screen for 9 percent of users. At just over 100 milliseconds, the menu almost always fully loads on Android 10, but not Android 9. As I already mentioned, I notice this extremely in everyday life and so I no longer feel frustrated.
