Google has introduced a kind of theme feature on its own devices; part of the system has been optically adapted based on the wallpaper. This automatic system can be turned off in the future. More precisely, we can choose in Android P if the screen should be permanently illuminated or dark. Furthermore, the aforementioned automatic is still a selectable option. This change is visible in the third beta of Android P, it should basically be the final implementation.

Some system components are affected by the change in theme, including the original launcher folder and app drawer and quick settings. Perhaps the “device theme” will also apply to other devices outside the Google universe.
