The great upheaval for the Arrowverse has already begun and will culminate with the end of season 8 of “Arrow.” In this last season, an actor can wait more time in front of the screen.
It’s almost like “Game Of Thrones”: Even “Arrow” will end in 2019 with a shorter eighth season, most likely with the death or at least the permanent disappearance of the main character Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). And similar to the hit HBO series, the television age comes to an end with the conclusion of “Arrow.” It remains to be seen how things will go with the so-called Arrowverse. The truth, however, is that one of the new actors of the seventh season, which ended on May 13, 2019, will have a bigger role in the eighth season.
We are talking about Joseph David-Jones, who likes the industry magazine Deadline reports that in season eight he no longer only has to make recurring guest appearances, but belongs to the series’ regular staff for the later episodes. After Emily Bett Rickards, among others, has already said goodbye to “Arrow,” the resulting void in staff must be filled.
Who is Joseph David-Jones?
David-Jones of Deadline nicknamed a fan favorite, celebrated his Arrowverse debut as John Diggles (David Ramsey), son of John Diggle Jr., aka Connor Hawke, who in “Legends Of Tomorrow” initially led a new Green Arrow in an alternate futuristic timeline has been.
But specially David-Jones performed a new version of Connor Hawke on the seventh season of “Arrow.”who is the biological son of Ben Turner also known as Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White) and was adopted by John Diggle and Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson). This Connor Hawke is an agent of the government organization Knightwatch and, along with other heroes, protects the Star City of the future.
More pre-fades in season 8?
David-jones appears along with a number of other actors in the fades up to the year 2040, which are repeatedly inserted into the current plot of “Arrow”. The fact that his role in season eight has seemingly expanded suggests that we will see more and more teasers in the final season of “Arrow.”
It is not yet clear when exactly the eighth season of “Arrow” will air, lead actor Stephen Amell has only talked about “Fall 2019.”. However, like the previous three seasons, it will likely start in October. It is also certain that the legendary comic story “Crisis on Infinite Earths” will be adapted in the eighth season.
