Based on a DC Comic: Mob Thriller Trailer "The kitchen" with Melissa McCarthy

Three powerful mafia gangsters have to go to jail, but their wives are just as pissed off. Here’s the first trailer for “The Kitchen”:

“The Kitchen” is based on a DC comic series of the same name, which first appeared in 2015. The focus is on three large animal wives from the Irish mafia, played in the film by Melissa McCarthy (“¿ Can you ever forgive me? ”), Elisabeth Moss (“ The Handmaid’s Tale ”) and Tiffany Haddish (“ The Girls’ Trip ”). In 1978, his men walk together behind Swedish curtains, but the three women don’t see him at all, sitting quietly waiting for his return. Instead, they take mafia affairs into their own hands.

With this year’s Oscar nomination at the latest, Melissa McCarthy finally qualified for more serious roles, even if “The Kitchen” doesn’t seem to be very serious at least. And aside from fellow lead actresses Elisabeth Moss and Tiffany Haddish, “The Kitchen” has a strong cast: among others, Domhnall Gleeson (“Star Wars: The Last Jedi”), Common (“John Wick: Chapter 2”), Brian d’Arcy James (“Spotlight”) and James Badge Dale (“The Departed”) in front of the camera. Directed by newcomer Andrea Berloff, who wrote the script. Before that, she was one of two authors of the 2016 Oscar-nominated screenplay for “Straight Outta Compton.”

In this country, “The Kitchen” is scheduled to open in theaters on September 19, 2019.
