Fear of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome: How Useful Is Follow-Up?
All parents know the fear of sudden baby death, because this specter has scared generations before you. How awful that the little darling just stops breathing and no one knows what it was. This is probably the biggest concern of all parents, which is why there are also sophisticated monitoring methods that, for example, constantly monitor the breathing rate of the child during sleep. In practice, however, it seems that one false alarm after the next will surprise you and extreme discomfort will spread throughout the house. You will constantly think about the subject and infect your baby with your fear, which in turn can become increasingly restless. Some devices even generate electrosmog to which the baby is directly exposed. There are many critical voices on this issue, which is increasingly used in more homes thanks to modern technology. However, it is only recommended for babies for whom there is actually a medical indication.
