“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”: The trailer is here!

New to Netflix

Gone are the days of the brave little witch who walks through a closet door into magical but rarely dangerous worlds and discusses the troubles of adolescence with her talking black cat. Sabrina Spellmann from “Sabrina – Totally Bewitched” is back. As the first trailer for the remake “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” shows, the new episodes will be mostly demonic, mystical and also a bit terrifying.

For weeks the whole world has been talking about the highlights of the popular streaming service Netflix: Sabrina Spellmann and her aunts Hilda and Zelda are making a comeback. The first teaser trailer for “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” has now been posted by series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who is also responsible for Riverdale, and has little in common with the popular ’90s sitcom.

In just under 50 seconds we not only discovered that the new Sabrina is embodied by Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men), but also that the series is taking a rather dark and mystical path. Netflix itself calls the remake a “dark coming-of-age story” that tells the story of a young witch and is based on the Archie comics of the same name.

Sabrina faces dark demons

As you can see in the trailer, the new edition begins on the witch’s 16th birthday. But instead of colorful balloons and pink garlands, Sabrina faces dark forces. In addition to a human figure with the head of a goat (maybe the devil?), There are figures crawling out of caves, satanic symbols, and mysterious rituals. Apparently Sabrina and her aunts Hilda and Zelda now also have a morgue.

We are definitely very excited about the remake of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” and hope that the oppressive and harrowing atmosphere left by the trailer will continue with more episodes as well. on Netflix.
