Congstar introduces the eSIM to existing customers and offers the switch free of charge. But new customers can also benefit.
Congstar is now another service provider with eSIM calling on offer. The one and only “virtual” SIM card is even offered free of charge to existing customers, interested customers just need to initiate the change in Congstar customer service. Actually, Congstar only offers eSIM for existing customers. But if you recently switched to the service provider, you can still swap your normal SIM card for an eSIM soon after. This cumbersome form should be changed in the long run.
eSIM is currently only available on select smartphones
- iPhone 11, iPhone 11 pro and 11 pro max
- iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR
- iPad Pro 2018 (11 and 12.9 inches)
- Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL and Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL
- Google Pixel 4 and 4 XL
You can also find eSIM features on the Apple Watch and similar devices. To be sure, ask Congstar about compatibility if necessary.
If you want to use this smartphone or tablet in your congstar contract with eSIM, please call congstar customer service on 0221 79700700 (Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 10 pm, Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.: 00 o’clock). A prerequisite for a smooth changeover is that the device has the latest software version, that customer data is available for the phone call, and that the device is connected to the Internet via WLAN.
After the phone call, the old SIM card is deactivated, the required setting is available as a QR code in the online customer service center my congstar after a few minutes. SIM operation is not possible for such a long time. After scanning the QR code with the smartphone or tablet, an online connection is established between the device and the eSIM profile. The change takes a maximum of 30 minutes.
