DSDS found two finalists again in 2011: Sarah Engels and Pietro Lombardi went on to the DSDS Grand Final last night. According to RTL, Ardian Burjupi received only 27.3 percent of the audience’s votes in yesterday’s semifinals and had to leave the show.
The three DSDS semi-finalists each sang three songs and received almost exclusively praise from Dieter’s DSDS jury. Sarah impressed with “Lady Marmelade,” “Beautiful” by Christina Aguillera and “One Day In Your Life” by Anastacia. Dieter not only certified her with a good voice, but also with a fighting nature: “In show business you have to be able to fight and you can.”
Pietro Lombardi showed with two ballads: “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” by Elton John and “If that it’s love” by Glashaus a completely different side of yourself. Dieter Bohlen was enthusiastic: “I am pleasantly surprised that you did both numbers so well. “However, the jury was happy that Pietro found his way back to his positive Pietro style with“ Mambo No. 5 ”. And Dieter also said about Pietro’s appearances on DSDS: “You entertained us well all season!” Ardian Burjupi, 20, impressed with K’Naan’s “Wavin ‘Flag” and Michael Bublé’s “Feeling Good”. Dieter Bohlen: “I didn’t feel good, I felt fantastic.”
But although Dieter Bohlen said he could imagine all three DSDS candidates in the final, one had to go last and that was Ardian Burjupi. Ardian took it easy: “Last week I dreamed they were going to kick me out. I’m happy for Pietro and Sarah, I’ll treat them both. I think Pietro will win the final. “
