Extra ordinary

Driving instructor Rose (Maeve Higgins) has supernatural powers, but she doesn’t like that. In rural Ireland you can’t do much with it anyway, until former rock star Christian Winter (Will Forte) takes the stage. Once he had only one success, and now he made a pact with the devil to succeed again. When a local teenager is affected, Rose finally teams up with her father Martin (Barry Ward) in saving the girl.

“Extra Ordinary” is the feature film debut of directors Mike Ahern and Enda Loughman, and most of all, we can look forward to comedy star Will Forte (“MacGruber”) as a rock star allied with the devil. There is currently no trailer.

A remake of a David Cronenberg classic? Sisters Jen and Sylvia Soska, also known simply as the Soska Sisters, the exceptional 1977 Canadian director’s early works have been daring and reissued. But it gets worse: his victims turn into rabid and dangerous beasts. Chaos will soon break out …

Laura Vandervoort (“Jigsaw”) has the lead role in the new “Rabid.” There is currently no trailer.

“Hotel Mumbai,” the film adaptation of the true story of the terrorist attacks in the Indian metropolis in November 2008, shows that dramas have a place at the 2019 Fantastic Film Festival. Terrorists also stormed the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, where the American David (Armie Hammer) and his wife Zahra (Nazanin Boniadi) are eating. Thanks to the brave intervention of the staff around Chef Oberoi (Anupam Kher) and waiter Arjun (Dev Patel), guests can hide for a while. But David and Zahra’s newborn son is still in the room with his babysitter …

Anthony Maras’ first film has already been screened in the United States.
