Mozilla is now finally reacting, notification requests from websites are much less annoying from Firefox 72 onwards.
Good news from the most popular browsers. The guys at Firefox are also doing something about the annoying notification requests that have become an annoying trend on the internet in recent years. While Chrome will only implement the corresponding improvements with the next version, Firefox 72 is already around the corner with the corresponding innovation. As of the latest version, notification requests are only available with a small preview and no longer with an annoying pop-up window.
Notification requests are now much less annoying
The popup for the notification request now only appears when you click the little new button to the left of the address bar. Only then do you, as a user, indicate that you may be interested in notifications from a website. Believe it or not, you can continue to block them for a website there. An extremely nice innovation to finally get some peace on the web again.
