In recent months, Samsung was able to clearly secure the leadership in this country with around 40 percent of the German market. But South Koreans can’t do that with their impressive flagship smartphones – the real winners for Samsung are a bit cheaper to get. According to GfK, the 128GB Samsung Galaxy S10 recently ranked third in the sales ranking, with a market share of just under 5 percent for the smartphones sold.

Nobody can compete with Samsung

Things are going much better with the A-series. Samsung ranks the Galaxy A40 at the top of the best-selling smartphones, the device only has a market share of approx. The slightly better A50 follows in second place with around 7 percent. Fourth place went to Samsung with the Galaxy A20E, the entry-level smartphone that barely beats the Galaxy S10.

Fifth place is for the first time the smartphone from another manufacturer. Just not Xiaomi or Huawei, but Apple with its iPhone Xr. The top 10 is completed by the iPhone 8, Huawei P30 Lite, Samsung Galaxy A70, Huawei P30 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10e. In other words: 6 of the 10 most successful smartphones in Germany are currently from Samsung.

Meanwhile, Sony, LG, HTC, OnePlus and company have nothing to report.
