Google is now finally making dark mode more comprehensive for the mobile Play Store, and more and more users in Europe are getting this nice little innovation. I was also able to open the Play Store for the first time today and see the dark design. It is based on the system configuration of my Pixel smartphone running Android 10. Other German-speaking users confirm the arrival of the long-awaited innovation.
Comfortable for people and batteries
As mentioned many times before, a dark screen is nice, especially in low ambient light. Also, the representation of dark colors can reduce the power consumption of OLED devices. The dark look should also be gentle on the eyes.
It seems that dark mode for the Play Store is now being widely implemented. So, of Google’s great apps, what is still missing? Gmail (limited rollout has started) and Google Maps. Anything else? pic.twitter.com/xfK1XTDzT0
