Android actual para todos: el siguiente paso está en camino

Google: Mini update for Android 11, friends function for Play Games

Current Android for everyone: the next step is on the way

Google is bringing new buddy features to Google Play Games, and there’s also a bug fix update for the second Android 11 Developer Preview.

These days, Google is improving the new Android 11 a bit for developers, and it is also making Google Play Games more social with an innovation. You can now add friends or view existing friends through the profile page on Google Play Games. At the same time, you can set who can see your activities. Nobody, friends or everyone. You can also allow or prohibit games to access your friends list.

The reason for innovation is, of course, to play with or against other people. So that everything is much more social. Friends can be sent an invite link after all the important settings have been made. In the application changelog, Google has not yet mentioned this innovation, it should be available soon with one of the new updates to the application.

Android 11 receives a small bug fix update

Google has provided a fairly small update for the new Android 11 which throws some bugs and issues from the current test version (Developer Preview 2). Therefore, it is primarily of interest to early adopters and developers. Google published the following changelog:

  • Fixed an issue where a crash would occur when long pressing to select an item within the recent apps overview.
  • Fixed an issue where the status bar could hang in the background if all of its components had not yet initialized.
  • Fixed an issue where SystemUI would create too many window tokens causing jankiness and frame drops when browsing and scrolling through applications.

  • Fixed an issue where the Wear OS app could crash when trying to pair a Wear OS device.
  • Fixed an issue where the Settings app could crash after tapping the search bar in the app.
