Several interesting leaks from 9to5Google show various innovations for the Google Pixel 4 (XL). The data sheet and other information on the expected innovations came to light prematurely. The videos show the completely new functions, including the motion control called Motion Sense or the face unlock using the sensors that are now integrated for the first time on the screen on the front of the new Android smartphones.

Face unlock replaces fingerprint

A short first video also shows us the Face Unlock, which will be fast and accurate through the integrated hardware. At least I hope so. Google goes the way of Apple, which only relies on face unlock and therefore no longer offers a fingerprint sensor. If that works well, I am happy to be there. The video shows how the content of a notification can only be read once the smartphone has been able to scan the user’s face.

In the end, Google can’t show us anything new. How facial unlocking works has been clear to us for years. I just hope the detection works well or smoothly in many phases of everyday life.
