Google wants to attack the world’s professional tablets with its Pixel Slate, Apple and Microsoft are facing serious competition. A little more has been known about the Pixel Slate for a few days now, the new tablet has at least Chrome OS as its operating system and has a detachable keyboard. In terms of hardware under the hood, it seems to compete with the top of the line Surface Pro.

Google’s new tablet has now appeared on Geekbench, where it reveals a whopping 16 gigabytes of RAM and its current 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8500Y. This puts Google on the same level as Microsoft and can only offer newer hardware at the moment. The dual boot system should also be a highlight, but this is yet to be confirmed. Does Chrome OS include Android and Windows support on one device? A true cat of all trades.

Diversity and solid hardware

A four-digit high-end price is expected for the aforementioned hardware as well, but cheaper variants are certainly conceivable. Microsoft offers its Surface Pro in Germany in seven variants, which differ from each other in terms of memory and processor, so of course in terms of price. Google could use it as a guide.

The last Google tablet was the Pixel C, now you want to repeat this attempt and this time correctly. The Pixel Slate will likely be unveiled on October 9, at the Pixel 3 event!
