After many months, Huawei finally sees some light again, because the US and China managed to agree on a first partial agreement.
Huawei is the randomly selected victim in a trade dispute between the US and China, so it is less trustworthy internationally and has a serious problem in relation to the smartphone market. You cannot buy products from US companies, including Google software licenses. Now China and the US have been able to reach an agreement on a first partial trade deal that, however, mainly prevents the planned punitive tariffs. After all, the beginning of the end when it comes to the dispute between the two states and perhaps also a bright spot for Huawei.
Huawei expects trade deals to come out of embargo
Trump wrote that the imposition of the punitive tariffs scheduled for December 15 was waived because an agreement had been reached. He spoke of a “very important phase one agreement” with China. “We will begin negotiations on a phase two agreement immediately rather than waiting until after the 2020 elections,” he said. “It’s a great offer for everyone.” FACE
But we don’t want to rejoice too soon – that’s something Huawei will refrain from doing internally. However, Huawei should hope to be able to work with Google and company again soon.
