Lexus’ goal is to use the LF-30 concept vehicle to show how it can create a unique driving experience in electric mobility. With a futuristic exterior, the battery-electric vehicle even allows for automated driving in properly equipped areas.
Lexus LF-30: the electric mobility of the future
It’s also notable – there’s no typical hood on the Lexus electric car. The flowing front merges with a rather tapered rear. A large front window extending from front to back, muscular shaped fenders and wing-shaped headlights, as well as eye-catching taillights make it clear that Lexus has the future in its luggage with the LF-30. The same applies to the side air intakes, which should ensure good aerodynamics.
Do you want to enjoy the privacy in your car? No problem! The transparency of the side windows can be adjusted as required. KITT could do it too, but it was a free gift. The color of the front end and certain lighting effects indicate whether the vehicle is controlled in normal mode or driven autonomously.
Toyota salutes the future, and not just in terms of design.
The aerodynamic exterior is standard on the Lexus LF-30.
The gull wing doors make the hearts of sports car fans beat faster.
The glass roof of the Lexus LF-30 also attracts attention.
Therefore, you should be able to sit in the Lexus LF-30.
The driver of the Lexus LF-30 can look forward to a future vision of the additional class.

Drive a car, but different
It is not only futuristic on the outside, but also on the inside of the car. Among other things, a large screen is used here, which can be operated by gesture control. Thanks to a special technology, the rear seats adapt to the passengers; different modes allow you to lie down and relax or encourage attention. You can already see that driving in the future will be different than what we have known before.
This is also clear when looking at the glass roof, which has voice control and a gesture controlled “SkyGate”. With the help of augmented reality, it displays various information such as navigation instructions, users’ favorite videos, and even a starry sky. Arriving relaxed at your destination should no longer be a problem.
Fast on the go
The 400 kW car is powered by electric hub motors on each of the four wheels, which, by the way, can be controlled independently of each other, and the low-position high-voltage battery. The battery capacity of 110 kW / h ensures that the Lexus LF-30 can roll up to 500 kilometers. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes just 3.8 seconds. Maximum speed: 200 km / h.
It is also important for the drives of the future that the new electric car works with a steering-by-wire system. Eliminating the mechanical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels allows for more flexible control depending on the driving situation and a more precise steering feel. At the same time, this technology increases freedom. Because in autonomous driving mode, the steering can be pushed forward and out of the way.
