British actor Aubrey Morris, better known to many as Mr. Deltoid in Stanley Kubrick’s “A Clockwork Orange,” passed away on Wednesday at the age of 89.
Aubrey Morris was born in Hampshire, England on June 1, 1926 and was one of nine children. After attending Portsmouth Municipal College for some time, he received a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London and has appeared in many films and series throughout his hectic life.
Morris is caught in the minds of many viewers primarily for his role in Stanley Kubrick’s “A Clockwork Orange.” There he played probation officer Mr. Deltoid, who wants to turn violent Alex (Malcolm McDowell) into a good but no-nonsense member of society (see video below). Additionally, Morris was in the 1973 horror film “The Wicker Man,” the 1975 comedy “Lisztomania,” and the 1994 tragic comedy “My Girl 2” with the party. He had some of his last appearances on the television series “Deadwood” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
Aubrey Morris died on Tuesday July 15, 2015 at the age of 89, including the Hollywood reporter reported.
