Xiaomi is launching MIUI 11 these days, the first Android smartphones from the Chinese will receive the new software in autumn and next winter. We had already reported on the expected innovations here on the blog. Now we would like to recommend you an Indian video in which the most interesting innovations are discussed in English. This, of course, includes the new always-on display, ultra battery saver mode, the revised software design, and much more. Just take a look:

MIUI 11 change log

  • Layout: fewer lines and boxes, more white space, and therefore more attention to content. New but with fewer touches of color.
  • Dark Mode: Own implementation of a dark design that is gentle on the battery (OLED displays) and the eyes.
  • Always On – New look with dynamic clocks and kaleidoscopes, as well as pulsating light effects for notifications. More possible settings to create your own style.
  • Background – Wallpaper carousel to always see a new background image. More than 100,000 wallpapers available today. Dynamic wallpapers are always easy to move and never stiff. Personal videos can be used.
  • New File Manager – You can now view your files as thumbnails and without additional application support.
  • New Tasks App: Better manage your tasks with the task list feature in the Notes app. List all tasks, sync them with your calendar, add each task with a universal entry to the app, or even record a task.
  • Pedometer – With the growing need to better understand personal wellness, you can now review your daily steps and other important data right from the App Vault screen.
  • Women’s Calendar – Now users can better keep track of their menstrual cycles with the updated My Calendar app.
  • Quick responses: Incoming calls and messages can be answered quickly without leaving the currently open application. Take a call or reply to messages without interrupting your game / video. Use the “floating” tab to reply to messages.
  • Also new: natural sounds and ringtones, Mi Share for quick file sharing, streaming to stream to other devices (TV, etc.), month view in gallery, wireless printing, better gaming turbo.
