DHL has now introduced mobile return, which at best can be taken directly from the front door or the door of the apartment. Online stores can provide end customers with QR codes for DHL returns, which should only be displayed on the smartphone screen. Whether at a packing station, parcel store, or directly in front of the DHL employee at your own doorstep. Customers no longer have to print the return package label themselves.

Mobile returns make returns more convenient

The new option allows business customers to provide end customers with a QR code by email or for direct download. Customers no longer need their own printer at home, but can use the QR code to print the return label at one of DHL’s 24,000 branches or parcel shops or at one of DHL’s 3,700 packing stations in Germany.

There is also the option of having the DHL parcel courier print the label conveniently on the spot, for example during package delivery. The delivery person then collects the shipment directly. The “mobile return” makes it even easier for the end customer to return products.

The new return option is now slowly being introduced and should be seen by early retailers in the near future if they ever have to return a product.
