Netflix is introducing a new Ultra package these days, it offers HDR playback for a higher price and promises the highest audio quality. Different prices will be displayed during the introduction. If you want to switch to the package or maybe just create a completely new account, you should first look for the cheapest price. From 16.99 euros to 19.99 euros, everything seems to users, but rarely a uniform price.

I see 16.99 euros on all my devices, other users would even have to pay 19.99 euros for the highest package in the same browser (Chrome) on different hardware. It’s hard to tell if the different prices are related to the different hardware. Some users only see HDR as an advantage of the Ultra package, other users only see “Higher Audio Quality”. My work PC doesn’t even see either, the Chromebook just HDR.

Then I would wait and see. Netflix has yet to officially communicate the change. Currently, the new package is only visible to new customers.
