But it was about time: on the occasion of today’s start of the new Amazon series “Good Omens” there is now a German trailer for the fantasy series with David Tennant and Michael Sheen:
Angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and the demon Crowley (David Tennant) have been stationed on earth for half an eternity, more precisely, since people were expelled from Paradise. Your task: you must ensure that balance is maintained in the world. And when they raise the young Warlock, who would later become the devil, that balance falters. Because their protégé was exchanged shortly after birth, so they have the wrong prince of hell on their cheek, while in other parts of the world pure horror grows …
For years, Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman tried to film their satirical fantasy adventure “Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies Of Agnes Nutter, Witch,” without success. Only after Pratchett’s death, he died in 2015, fans of the original can now enjoy an adaptation that can be viewed exclusively on Amazon as Prime Original. Now you can decide for yourself if the wait was worth it: “Good Omens” will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting May 31, 2019.
In the German trailer for the series you can get a small preview of the six-part fantasy comedy in which many top-notch actors await: in addition to Doctor Who actors, David Tennant as Crowley and Martin Sheen (“Masters Of Sex As Aziraphale, among others, also the Golden Globe winner Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”) and the Oscar winner Frances McDormand (“Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri”).
We were allowed to preview the first half of the miniseries and found that it not only contrasts the good and the bad, but also brings light and shadow. What exactly that means and for whom “Good Omens” should ultimately be worth it, you can read here:
