We have already introduced you to some of the new smartphones in detail for the past few days. For example the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9s, which was released in China a few days ago under the name Redmi Note 9 Pro. But also the new smartphones from HMD Global. For example, the Nokia 8.3 5G. Also, with the Galaxy A41 and Galaxy M21, two new Samsung cell phones were on display. And you can also read everything about the Honor 9X Pro in a detailed product presentation. But there have been a few more smartphone innovations that we’d like to sum up at this point.
ZTE Axon 11 5G
ZTE’s first 5G smartphone is initially only intended for the Chinese market. It comes on the market in three versions and is said to score mostly with a good price-performance ratio. Based on Android 10, it offers 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of storage space, depending on the selected model. The core is a Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 765G.
You can navigate the smartphone menu using a 6.47-inch AMOLED screen with rounded edges and a stored fingerprint sensor. It can count on a resolution of 1,080 x 2,340 pixels. At the top end, the screen is interrupted by a waterdrop-shaped gap (notch). The front camera is built into it, with a resolution of 20 megapixels. A quad camera is installed on the back (64 + 8 + 2 + 2 megapixels).

It is not yet known for sure if the 168 gram smartphone will also be available in Europe and if so.
Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro
Another new mid-range model is coming out of Xiaomi’s production facilities to the market. With the Redmi K30 Pro, the Asian manufacturer has now presented a new smartphone that is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and can also be used in 5G networks.
As standard, there is access to a 128 GB flash memory and 6 or 8 GB of RAM. Do you want more storage space? Also available is the so-called “Zoom Edition” with 8 GB of RAM and 128 or even 256 GB of flash memory.
The AMOLED screen is 6.67 inches and offers a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. It is not interrupted with a notch. Instead, the front camera (20 megapixels) extends out of the case whenever you need it. On the back, you can count on a quad camera setup (64 + 13 + 5 + 2 megapixels) and use NFC and Bluetooth 5.1, among other things.
In terms of price, the cheapest Xiaomi Redmi K30 Pro (6 GB / 128 GB) is available in China for the equivalent of 390 euros, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of flash memory, it costs just under 450 euros. You can buy it in silver gray, white, turquoise and purple.
The Zoom Edition costs between 495 euros (8 GB of RAM / 128 GB of storage) and 520 euros (8 GB of RAM / 256 GB of storage). There are no color differences from the normal K30-5G model. It is also equipped with a 30x hybrid zoom. Instead of a 5 megapixel macro, this model uses an 8 megapixel telephoto module.
There is no information yet on the availability of the Xiaomi K30 Pro in Europe.
Ulefone X7 Armor
A new outdoor smartphone based on Android 10 is now available on Ulefone. Powered by a MediaTek processor (MT6761 / Helio A20) and equipped with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space, it should be your personal companion on the construction site or on rough terrain. The screen is comparatively small with a diagonal dimension of 5 inches, the camera on the back (13 megapixels) is kept very simple. A 5 megapixel camera is available on the front.
In addition to Bluetooth 5 and dual WLAN (2.4 + 5 GHz), the IP68 certified mobile phone also supports NFC. And so you don’t lose your way, it not only connects to the GPS satellites if you want, but also to the Glonass and Galileo satellites. The built-in battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh.
Samsung Galaxy A31
Also new: the Samsung Galaxy A31. The lower-middle-range smartphone is blessed with a quad camera setup on the back (48 + 8 + 5 + 5 megapixels), and a 20 megapixel camera is available on the front for selfies. It’s built into a notch at the top end of the 6.4-inch (1,080 x 2,400-pixel) Super AMOLED display. A fingerprint sensor is installed behind the screen.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Olympic Edition
Regardless of the postponement of the Tokyo Olympics announced on Tuesday, Samsung, as one of the biggest sponsors of the sporting event, has again unveiled a special model as the official smartphone of the 2020 Olympics. On the Japanese cellular network operator NTT Docomo, details of the gold cell phone can be seen with the five Olympic rings on the back.

It should be available from June and will in fact be given to all athletes participating in the Olympics as a gift for their successful qualification. After the postponement of the games, it is quite questionable whether this actually happens. In detail, the special model under the nice hood is the well-known Samsung Galaxy S20 in the 5G variant.

Initially, it should only declare war on Xiaomi Poco smartphones in India, but a subsequent market launch in Europe is not ruled out. Realme wants to present the first Narzo smartphones next Thursday (March 26). These are reportedly two mid-range models.
