In recent months, several Waze features for Google Maps had already been announced, the traffic disruption report is now officially on. Therefore, Google allows users to manually forward accidents, construction sites, speed checks, road closures, and other reasons for a traffic disruption to Google Maps while navigating. To do this, a new + button is displayed on the edge of the screen during navigation, as in the following screenshot:

Not only is Google bringing this exciting and practical innovation to iOS devices, it is rolling it out globally to Android devices starting this week. At the same time, more new options will be available for this function, although for us German users, the reports of traffic interruptions will be completely new. Google Maps inherits these innovations mainly from Waze, the second Google maps application. Community functions of this type have been built in there from the beginning and have thus far been unique and exceptional selling points.
