Casting show debate

A few years ago, One Direction learned first-hand that only one candidate can win a casting show. The five guys only came in third place at the end of their “X Factor” season. However, teen idols made a breakthrough in world races. For this reason, One Direction encouraged other casting show losers not to give up despite disappointment …

Last Sunday Ben Haenow turned out to be the 11th winner on the UK version of the casting show “X Factor.” While some of the former winners have already been forgotten, with One Direction a band is revolutionizing the music market that was actually one of the losers in the television format. In 2010 Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan only finished third in the competition. However, this first little blow to the neck did not prevent their great career: today One Direction is the most successful boy group in the world and it fills entire stadiums around the world.

One Direction has some valuable advice in store

For this reason, the guys from One Direction only had one piece of advice reserved for lower talents when they appeared on the final “X Factor” show: Don’t give up! “You had an awesome platform and you enjoyed the best lessons you can get anywhere,” said Liam Payne on behalf of his One Direction colleagues, according to the BBC. Now, however, the candidates are alone and forge their own happiness, emphasized Louis Tomlinson: “The program can only get you to this point and only one person can win. However, ‘X Factor’ often has other candidates who don’t win and still prevail. “

One Direction made the breakthrough despite defeat

Louis Tomlinson is absolutely correct in this assessment. After all, One Direction aren’t the only casting show goers who made a breakthrough without a win.: Olly Murs also came in second place on “X Factor” and is now one of the most successful contemporary British artists. A lot depends on the first time after the casting show, which is why Liam Payne hit the candidate on the road. “Obviously they still have a long way to go on the tour. You just have to let it occur to you, ”explained the 21-year-old, who has been running from hit to hit with One Direction for the past four years.

If anyone can give any advice to casting show losers, it’s the guys from One Direction. After all, they have perfectly demonstrated how you can become world stars despite finishing third.
