OnePlus has to receive a lot of criticism for its new 6T. Can this smartphone keep up with the big competition? OnePlus is now using an in-display fingerprint sensor, ensuring a different internal design. This is one of the reasons why OnePlus wants to have removed the classic jack connection, at least that is what was communicated to Cnet in an interview. Believe it or not, the popular identifier is now history at OnePlus too.

OnePlus buyers have to give up wireless charging too, because Qi won’t be possible again in 6T. OnePlus would only want to block Qi if it could charge as fast as with cable. If the manufacturer has not yet been successful, this feature will continue to be dispensed with. The problems are caused by excessive heat development; the smartphone would have to be significantly thicker for this.

Can OnePlus keep up? A decisive advantage will continue to be the price, which is again 300 euros below many competing devices. Also, there is no IP certification for the case either, but Pete Lau promises even better protection against ingress of water. The costs of certification are disproportionate.
