Looking for things
Is there anything better than finding something seemingly useless and thinking of a new use? This game trains observation, language and stimulates imagination.
Store old spools of thread, nice empty containers,… When you play Find Stuff, hide these items around the house or garden.
Children are now “thing seekers” and they search until they find something. Possibly. Help with “hot” and “cold” directions. Then each child should tell what they found and what they can do with it. Now you can play with what you have found, for example the spools of thread are painted in bright colors and are placed on a string to form a chain. The empty container sticks together and serves as a treasure chest.
