A serious problem mocks the fingerprint sensor on current Galaxy S10 smartphones, for which Samsung would like to provide a corresponding update soon. The mentioned issue occurs in conjunction with some screen savers. Instead of not recognizing any fingers, the fingerprint sensor on the smartphone screen also accepts other people’s fingers. A secure unlocking method can no longer be mentioned here.

No matter which one, Samsung accepts all fingers

Obviously, the protective films seem to irritate the sensor enough that it accepts unknown fingerprints. Samsung is said to have already addressed the issue and is working to eliminate it.

Of course, this is not a bad intention on the part of the manufacturer, but this error actually only shows us that fingerprint sensors and face unlock devices by no means offer 100 percent security. Most of the time these problems occur with face unlock, but out of the box and not as a software bug.
