I love salads! Quite classic, but also in all variants with pasta or potatoes. When it comes to pasta salads, I have countless recipes prepared. I would like to share one of them with you today.


Macaroni salad goes really fast and tastes great!

ingredients

  • 300 g small macaroni
  • 150 g frozen peas
  • 150 g gouda (middle-aged)
  • 150g corn
  • 100g of natural yogurt
  • pickles
  • 150g of mayonnaise for salad
  • 150 g Vienna sausages
  • Salt, pepper, if necessary mustard

You can also use turkey breast instead of sausage sausage. Or meat sausage. It really is a matter of taste. We always use the light version as salad mayonnaise, because not only is it lower in calories, but it is much creamier and tastes much better to us personally. Cheese can be omitted entirely if necessary. Little cubes of cheese give everything a hearty kick, but they’re not a must. =)

Macaroni Salad

First, the noodles are cooked al dente with a little salt. Just before the cooking time is up, add the frozen peas and let them cook for a few minutes. Then both are poured together.

The sausages are cut into thin slices, the Gouda into small cubes. Put both in a large bowl with the pasta and peas. Now you can also add corn.

Mix the salad mayonnaise with the natural yogurt in a separate bowl. Also, there are 6 tablespoons of cucumber water and about 100 g of finely chopped pickles. Then everything is seasoned with a little salt, pepper and mustard. It is best to try the sauce in the middle.

In the end everything is mixed and can be served immediately. The salad doesn’t have to go first. It has a wonderfully intense flavor after cooking.
