There is news from the Xiaomi world. The MediaTek chip, which will be installed in the new Redmi K30 Ultra, is a premiere for the smartphone series.
Anyone who has slowly but surely lost track of Xiaomi’s wallet, including the Redmi sub-brand – don’t worry, you’re not alone. The Redmi K30 series already includes six models, but that shouldn’t stop there. After all, there is still room for improvement in the true sense of the word.
The Redmi K30 Ultra could be the crowning glory, as one XDA user claims to have recently discovered. The MIUI 12 code contained references to said device, along with the codename “Cezanne” (a French painter, art buffs).

Redmi K30 Ultra: pop-up selfie camera and quad camera
In addition to the name, there are already references to the specifications of Xiaomi’s next high-end smartphone. The selfie camera is said to be a pop-up camera, as we’ve already discovered on some of the manufacturer’s other models. This allows for a narrow viewing frame and at the same time dispenses with a notch.
The camera on the back is said to consist of a four-camera setup, directed by a 64 MP sensor.

MediaTek instead of Qualcomm chip
We already know of similar specs from the Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom, but there is a surprising difference under the hood: instead of a SoC from Qualcomm, one from MediaTek will be installed for the first time in the K30 series.
What exactly it is remains to be seen. The Dimensity 820 5G can be found on devices like the Redmi 10X, but an older leak gives hope for the Dimensity 1000. Information about an upcoming Xiaomi device was found on Weibo, which is also said to bring a 144 Hertz display.
