Samsung would like to present shortly not only the Galaxy Note 20, but also a matching smartwatch. The first details of the new features of the Galaxy Watch 3 that have been on the Apple Watch for a while have already emerged. Now a video has appeared.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 with drop detection
Update of 07/27/2020: A hands-on video has emerged showing the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 in action. As expected, a bezel is installed. The smartwatch seems a bit more compact than its predecessor. Look the following video:
The Apple Watch is known to save lives. Over and over again, read our amazing stories about how the smartwatch has helped people through difficult and life-threatening situations. The fall detection that Apple integrated into the smartwatch a few years ago contributed to this. According to information from XDA, exactly this function should also be integrated into the new Galaxy Watch 3. Consequently, the new watch can detect a fall and automatically call for help if the alarm is not turned off. This is a handy feature, especially for older people, but it is also useful in other situations.
Samsung has also integrated gesture control into the Galaxy Watch 3. For example, you can answer a call by clenching your hand into a fist. If you do not want to speak to the person you are calling or are otherwise impaired, you can reject the call with a wave of your hand. Since a speaker and microphone are built-in, calls can be made directly with the smartwatch.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3: EKG and contactless payment?
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 can theoretically create an EKG, as the Apple Watch can, but not in Germany. The show has been a long time coming. Initially, Samsung said that the feature would be activated in Germany at some point, but has not done so yet. Hopefully the Galaxy Watch 3 has received approval.
It’s also unclear whether you can finally pay contactless with the Galaxy Watch 3. This is one of the main drawbacks of Samsung smartwatches. There is “Samsung Pay”, but again not in Germany. Two of the most important functions for smart watches are not yet supported. Is it the case of the Galaxy Watch 3? We will see. GIGA will inform you.
