Samsung allows owners of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 to measure their blood pressure with the watch, this innovation is now available in the first region.
Last April, Samsung announced a new health feature for its own smartwatches. In their home country, they have now received approval for this. There, the first users will receive the new blood pressure measurement on the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2. Of course, Samsung also had to work a bit on the software, for which a new Samsung Health Monitor app was in the works. This is now officially unveiled, also with some screenshots.
Apple had shown everyone else that smartwatches can be extremely useful in the area of health and that this should be the focus of manufacturers. Samsung is one of the competitors now continuously advancing. According to Samsung, they are happy to be able to offer their users even more in the area of health.
Health functions are often slow to arrive
Hook: This new function has to be approved, unfortunately by the respective authorities. Therefore, it is questionable whether blood pressure measurement will be available soon or ever to German customers. Unfortunately, Samsung does not always make a good figure by making all the “cool” features of its own devices available to all customers around the world.
