Samsung introduced the Galaxy M31 a few weeks ago under the hashtag #MegaMonster. Now the entry-level “monster” is also coming to Germany. However, it is not surprising that it is open in this country. The Galaxy M30s and Galaxy M20 (2019) also hit the shelves here.
Samsung Galaxy M31 presented: middle class with thick battery
The Koreans boast of some selected technical specifications. There is a huge battery underneath. The Power Dispenser stores 6,000 mAh of energy. There is also a SuperAMOLED panel in FHD + resolution and a quad camera. All of this wouldn’t be impressive if Samsung had moved the Galaxy M31 over to the Galaxy A range. The Koreans put the new smartphone in the entry-level class, however.
Galaxy M31 in Germany: market launch on May 6
If you look at Samsung’s portfolio in Germany, it quickly becomes clear that Samsung is no longer one of the low-cost manufacturers. That changes a bit with the Galaxy M31. It comes to the market in Germany for just under 270 euros. It’s not cheap either, but at least fair.
6GB of RAM and 64GB of data storage were built directly into the German Samsung model. At market launch, Amazon also had a version with 128 and 8 GB capacity. However, this offer was dropped again. Therefore, the perforated version is not available in Germany.
The Samsung Galaxy M31 is available for pre-order now and will ship from May 6. From that moment on, the mobile phone comes to you in the colors blue, red and black.
If not? – Solid and a bit thick
Besides the price and specs, the Samsung Galaxy M31 shows its solid side elsewhere as well. In the notch on the front, it offers a selfie camera with 32 megapixel resolution and an Exynos 9611, which is considered a solid processor. The panel extends 6.4 inches from one rounded corner to the other.
You don’t have to compromise on connectivity. 5G is not included, but Bluetooth 5 and dual band WiFi are included. There are also GPS, Glonass, Beidou, and Galileo for guidance, as well as dual SIM and NFC for contactless payment.
The large battery comes at a price in terms of size. The Galaxy M31 isn’t exactly thin at 8.9mm and it’s also quite heavy at 191 grams. To do this, it reaches the customer with a 15W USB Type-C fast charger. The Apple iPhone 11 cannot do that for just under 800 euros.
