After two years, Google has reintroduced its own Chromebook with the Pixelbook, which is cheaper than its predecessor at $ 649. The base is a 13.3 ″ touchscreen, and there is also a battery under the hood for a runtime of up to 12 hours. You can already see by the looks of this Chromebook that it should attract more customers and not just high-end business customers.

The Pixelbook Go is available in different colors, and there is also a rather special structure at the bottom, which should provide a lot of grip for mobile use. The cover of the Pixelbook Go is made of magnesium, which has a matte finish. It seems simple and beautiful to me at the same time, although that is of course a matter of taste.

As with other Chromebooks, there are not only software updates for at least five years, but also support for the Google Play Store and Android apps. Under the hood, Google will offer us various combinations, the base consists of mobile core processors from Intel (m3, i5, i7). There is up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of data storage.

Unfortunately, the market launch was initially only announced for the United States, Canada and Great Britain, the different models will be available from next January.
