Theater plays "Black widow" While "Avengers 4: Endgame"? That is the reason for this assumption

Filming has just started in Norway on Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson’s MCU character’s first solo adventure. And after the first photos and videos, fans have a guess …

Walt disney

So far it has been reported from internal sources that the solo movie “Black Widow” with Scarlett Johansson will be a prequel and will show us the beginnings of the agent before or at the beginning of her time in SHIELD. Finally, there was also a sneak peek that we can finally find out what is behind the mission in Budapest. But now suddenly doubts arise. Does “Black Widow” play much later? During “Avengers: Endgame”?

The reason for these assumptions of many fans is the first recordings of the shoot.they have just started in a small Norwegian town next to the Hjørundfjord. For example, on the Norwegian news website NRK there is a video on the twitter channel scarlet there are many other videos and images. Many fans are convinced that Johansson wears the same hairstyle in these shots from the first set as in the “Avengers: Endgame” phases., in other words: longer red hair with slightly blonde tips of slowly fading color. Also, Norway’s location fits in with the sequel to “Avengers: Infinity War.”. Finally, an important figure has retired to Norway that Black Widow could get in touch with. Therefore, they suspect: “Black Widow” takes place during the great leap in “Avengers: Endgame”, at a time when the heroine is more or less trying to create order in a chaotic world.

That is our evaluation

It’s entirely conceivable that Marvel will explore the skipped years of “Avengers: Endgame” with movies in the future. The evidence is still far from sufficient to say for sure that “Black Widow” actually plays during this time. The location is a bad clue anyway. Marvel rarely shoots where the movies are set. The Norwegian location in “Endgame” is actually Scotland, where the recordings took place at the time.

And hair is also a bad indicator, because we know that Marvel has already used the Black Widow hairstyle to create confusion. For example, his hair in the “Avengers: Endgame” trailers sometimes looked different than later in the movie in the corresponding scenes. Back then, the computer was used to do tricks, for example to disguise the great jump in time. Also, this particular hairstyle allows for completely different speculations. Other fans suspect the hair is more in line with the time Black Widow lived underground after the events of “Civil War.” There is also a larger narrative void here that has yet to be filled. Interestingly, Natasha Romanoff spends time here in Scotland. So could Norway double Scotland after Scotland had previously served Norway?

Time jumps?

In any case, we think it is very likely that there are time jumps in the movie “Black Widow” to tell us more about the mysterious past of the character. Part of the plot could well take place after “Civil War” or during “Endgame,” but the focus is on flashbacks showing its beginnings.

However, so far only one can speculate. There is no statement from Marvel itself. The comic book creator hasn’t even officially announced the movie, though Kevin Feige’s creators have already talked about it repeatedly. But even without an official announcement, we already know that Cate Shortland (“Berlin Syndrome”) is directing and in addition to Scarlett Johansson are Florence Pugh (“Fighting With My Family”) and “Stranger Things” star David Harbor. Oscar winner Rachel Weisz (“The Favorite,” “The Eternal Gardener”) and OT Fagbenle, known for “The Handmaid’s Tale,” are also swapping roles. We have long suspected that “Black Widow” will hit theaters in the course of 2020. The now-ongoing shooting also speaks for it.
