Google has updated its statistics, we can see the distribution of Android versions with new numbers. But what hasn’t changed yet is the availability of Android 9 Pie. Besides Google’s four Pixel smartphones, only three other third-party devices received the update and one of the devices barely sold. Essential, Nokia, and OnePlus were able to release Android 9 a month after launch.

The big names in the market, especially Samsung and Huawei, have so far only been able to distribute beta updates in small quantities. So Android 9 is still not in the statistics with a market share of less than 0.1 percent, Android 8 has now grown to 19.2 percent. Android 7 is installed on 29.3 percent of devices, Android 6 on 21.6 percent, and Android 5 on 18.3 percent of all registered devices.
