What’s wrong with you?
Do you know: you scroll through the huge selection of movies and series on Netflix, but somehow there is nothing to your liking? Although the offer is constantly growing, there are still many old and new productions that have not yet been incorporated into the German offer. We will show you how you can wish for your favorite Netflix movies and which movies and series we miss on the editorial team.
It is easy
I myself have been using Netflix for some time and I usually find series, documentaries or movies that satisfy my tastes. However, if I take a look at the much larger offer in the United States, I get a little jealous. Since you can’t legally get American access in this country, there’s only one way left – just kindly ask Netflix if they can include a certain series or movie in their show.
It’s easy to do by clicking “Suggest a series or movie” in the Help Center on the Netflix website. However, in order to make a wish, you must have access to Netflix and log in. You then have the option of entering one to three titles. Of course, there is no guarantee that your wish will be heard and there is no point in wishing you a movie or series multiple times. But who knows, maybe Netflix will include a suggestion on their show if many customers want it.
We have some suggestions …
In the past, I have enjoyed some new additions to Netflix. For example, I was finally able to close my educational gap and see too much of the Gilmore Girls. But my colleagues and I have a few more wishes for the future offer.
# 1 “Buffy”
I’m sure this cult series would be very well received. Because not only do the hardcore Buffy fans among my peers want the vampire series, I could also bridge a second major educational gap with it.
# 2 “Parks and recreation”
I miss my absolute favorite comedy series on Netflix because I could watch it over and over again. On the one hand, it’s a lot of fun, but it’s also wonderfully shallow, so it fits perfectly on a Sunday with a hangover. Since the series has been on Netflix’s American offering for some time, I expect Germany to follow suit.
# 3 “The good place”
My colleague Katharina discovered this comedy series on Netflix there while traveling in England. This is not a spin-off of the highly recommended lawyer series “The Good Wife,” but rather a sitcom starring Kristen Bell in the title role.
# 3 “OC, California”
Also, many of us would love to see old series that we saw when we were teenagers. In addition to “OC, California,” other Guilty Pleasure series were named “Ally McBeal,” “Roswell,” and “Dawson’s Creek.” It can’t be that hard to take these old camels with you, right, Netflix?
# 4 “The Handmaid’s Tale”
I would love to find my series discovery of the year to date on Netflix. Then I could link this drama series, which is about a scary future scenario, with all my friends and discuss it with them. In this case, however, Netflix is unfortunately highly unlikely to grant this request, as the series runs in the US with rival provider Hulu and according to Giga.de the German rights are owned by EntertainTV. .
# 5 “Bring Disney back!”
I was delighted when Netflix added several Disney classics to its range last year. I finally got to see my favorite movie “The Lion King” on the side. Unfortunately, that quickly ended, as all Disney movies are pulled from the Netflix catalog piece by piece. According to Kino.de, Disney is planning its own streaming service. Some Disney productions are still on Netflix’s sale, but all will be gone by 2019. In this case, wishing won’t do much either.
We have many more favorite series, some of which are fortunately already available on Netflix:
Unfortunately, it is not just a matter of customer wishes which movies and series a streaming provider can watch. In some cases, however, it is worth a try; otherwise, Netflix probably wouldn’t ask their customers what they want. Which of your favorite movies and series are missing from our list? Let us know in the comments!
