A German version of the hit series “Two and a Half Men” is being planned as part of “TVLab,” a kind of format forge for broadcaster ZDFneo.
Who could be the German Charlie Sheen? Who could be the German Ashton Kutcher? Who is the German Angus T. Jones and who is Jon Cryer? German producers may have to ask themselves these questions soon, because a German version of the hit comedy “Two and a half Men” is being planned as part of the forging of the ZDFneo format “TVLab – Look what you want”. “A series like ‘Two and a Half Men’ should also be possible in Germany. We have good authors, ”said ZDF program director Thomas Bellut at the Cologne press conference on“ TVLab ”.
Two and a half men soon to be Germanized?
The main goal is to focus on formats with humor and comedy, reports “quotemeter.de”. A series like “Two and a Half Men” would fit the profile perfectly. It is not yet clear how the German “Two and a Half Men” would be included in the program. However, there are plans to produce such a series. As part of “TVLab”, ZDFneo will show ten television ideas from August 27 to September 3, which will be tested on air in viewer numbers and which could go into production a little later.
