ASUS has unveiled the latest folding model of its Chromebooks, it has some advancements under the hood, such as SSD storage.
ASUS has unveiled another Chromebook for the Flip series, the new C436 mainly has a bit more to offer under the hood compared to its predecessors. The latest model has at most the Core i7-10510U processor, alternatively the i5-10210U or the i3-10110U. Also, this year there is a rethink about internal data storage. It’s finally getting a bit more modern as ASUS is now also installing M.2 SSD modules up to 512GB in its Chromebooks.
ASUS ‘new Flip Chromebook relies on SSD storage
A 14 ″ NanoEdge panel is used for the display and can be touch and digitizer operated. However, it cannot convince with a resolution of only 1920 x 1080 pixels. By the way, on ASUS, Flip means that the screen can be rotated 360 °. So the Chromebook is instantly a tablet. 8 or 16 GB of RAM, WiFi 6, USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, a 42 Wh (3-cell) battery, microSD slot and Bluetooth 5 complete the attractive package.
We already had the predecessor, so we are very confident in the availability of the C436. With us, the price should only start in the four-digit range. It’s still unclear which setups will end up in retail in this country.
