October 18, 2019 update: Huawei presented its new smartphone in Paris, but sadly there was no surprise. Our neighbors probably only saw the Nova 5T that we were introduced to a few weeks ago. It is a new mid-range smartphone with Android, which fortunately also comes with Google services. For the new device there was probably only one small event, not very interesting.
Huawei Nova 5T presented for Europe: high-end middle class with Google services
Huawei introduced its Mate 30 series a few weeks ago and it is basically not bringing any new high-end smartphones to Europe this year. Or does it? In any case, a poster has now appeared, and Huawei’s next Android smartphone for Europe should follow in the middle of the current month. A full-screen smartphone is promised, which will likely have a front camera built right into the screen, which doesn’t mean a hole punched.
Huawei announces a new range of smartphones
Speculation says that Huawei would like to showcase the first smartphone in which the camera is located below the display panel and is therefore “invisible” to the user. Some manufacturers have already tested it, at least for prototypes of future smartphones. Samsung and company have been working on it for some time. An OEM has not yet offered a smartphone with this technology that can be bought worldwide.
We put October 17 on our calendar for the amazing event. Until there are no other rumors, I wait for an Android smartphone. But of course we like to be surprised by what Huawei wants to present so suddenly. If it were an insignificant device, there would be no trailers or announcements.
