War on "John wick 4": Then I could later "John wick 3" follow

In the FILMSTARTS interview on “John Wick: Chapter 3,” Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski revealed that they already have ideas for “John Wick 4.” We have them too …

The end of “John Wick: Chapter 3” is a clear sign: it was not like that with the professional assassin played by Keanu Reeves. Follow. “John Wick 4” has already been officially announced. After Wick found himself in a seemingly absolutely hopeless situation at the beginning of the third part, he got out of it, but it’s much worse. Once again, John Wick will have to fight for his life …

Because John Wick has now openly and definitely opposed the mysterious murderous organization, of which he was a member for a long time, and this after he had recently apologized to the main head of the organization, the old man (Saïd Taghmaoui). has been forgiven. That will no longer happen. John Wick can only fight his former bosses and colleagues.

There is war

And it will come to that. There could even be a real war in “John Wick: Chapter 4”because, as the ending makes clear, John is not alone. The murderous organization and its Council Twelve were declared at war by someone else: The Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) and his network of homeless people. So there can be two armies facing each otherwhich, by the way, Keanu Reeves joked two years ago. He then explained that he could very well imagine that Johns Wick’s decision at the end of the second part would trigger a war in the future. That’s exactly what happened.

The fact that you don’t deny this only promises additional seasonings for another sequel, we can see lone fighter Wick more often in a team – for example with the very crazy Tick Tock Man (Jason Mantzoukas), who already has small appearances in the third part. Additionally, Chad Stahelski can further expand the murderous fantasy world he has developed. After all, we were dying to learn more about the organization of the Bowery King, after “John Wick 3” gave us a lot of information about the origins of the main character.

For Tick Tock Man there is even a separate character poster for “John Wick 3”, but his role is (still?) Very small.

Support from 2 women and an old friend?

Perhaps Wick and the homeless king are not alone in their fight against the Chamber. After Sofia (Halle Berry) proved that she can go crazy when it comes to her dogs, she also broke up with the murderous organization. She is now also on the white list. To protect her daughter, Sofia will want to fight on Wick’s side. Like her adoptive mother (Anjelica Huston)?

He has forgiven me for his organization and appears to be back in the Upper House camp for now. But he shouldn’t have forgotten the humiliation of his judge (Asia Kate Dillon). His loyalty is fragile, what Wick could use. What about John’s old friend Aurelio (John Leguizamo)? He is completely absent in the third part, after we saw at the end of “John Wick: Chapter 2” that the murder contract associated with a bounty had also come to him. Didn’t he deliberately participate in the hunt? Is the friendship so strong that the professional mechanic and killer even sided with John? Or is he finally forced to fight this one after all?

Aurelio is completely absent in “John Wick 3” …

We have to make a big question mark especially behind the Winston hotel manager (Ian McShane). The ending of “John Wick: Chapter 3” suggests that he just wanted to consolidate his own power and used John to do so. If that was his plan, it worked perfectly. He once again has the confidence of the Chamber and is allowed to continue managing his hotel. Or is he playing a double game and once again fooled everyone? Did you know that John, of course, would survive, giving him the only chance to escape and band together with new allies?

In our opinion, there is a lot to be said for this, including the fact that Winston doesn’t seem to care that John survived. But he would have to become a traitor, because he knows like no other that no army could protect him from the killing machine. So whether Winston is still an ally helping John from within destroy the Chamber, or if he is his enemy now, is one of the exciting questions in “John Wick 4”.

Is a happy ending possible?

Whether one day, whether in “John Wick 4” or not until “John Wick 9,” the title character will die, on the other hand, is not such an exciting question, but rather likely. Director Chad Stahelski made this clear recently, when asked about a possible happy ending to his colleagues from CinemaBlend replied that he did not believe that this is even possible for the figure. He also pointed out that the whole idea of his universe comes from Greek mythology. And anyone who knows a little about stories from Greek mythology knows that they rarely end in a positive way.

That’s what Keanu Reeves says in the same interview with CinemaBlendthat he still couldn’t imagine that the end of the movie series would have a happy ending. In the end, John Wick will die or be alone, Reeves is convinced. And the word of the actor has weight here, because it is not only the main actor. Reeves and Stahelski continue to develop the universe.

While “John Wick: Kapitel 3” has been in theaters since May 23, 2019, “John Wick 4” will follow exactly two years from now. The next chapter in the saga will open in May 2021. By the way, this itself is getting bigger and bigger. They are also working on a spin-off called “Ballerina”, for which preparatory work is already underway in the third part. What’s behind it, and what we learned about it in “John Wick 3,” you can find in a separate article:
