Facebook gives itself a new brand and this is also integrated into the other services, which of course include Instagram and WhatsApp. As the title suggests, the aforementioned brand is now being integrated into WhatsApp for Android. But that’s not all that has happened with recent app updates. Some may have noticed that more and more components of the upcoming dark mode are being incorporated into the app today.
WhatsApp is slowly shutting down
If the dark mode is activated in the whole system from Android 9 or Android 10, WhatsApp also partially adapts. This includes a black background in chats, as well as a very dark splash screen. I only see the dark splash screen, but without the new Facebook brand.
It is not yet clear when dark mode will finally be integrated into WhatsApp. The work has been going on for a long time, only to no end. There was also no announcement from the developers yet, and there is no timetable anyway.
