Android actual para todos: el siguiente paso está en camino

Why 80% of Android Apps Are Safer Today

Current Android for everyone: the next step is on the way

Today, Android apps transmit their data in an encrypted form, which only became common practice through an obligation.

Transport layer security is an important point. With the introduction of TLS, Google has taken an important step by the fact that more than 80% of Android applications use a secure transmission method. TLS has been available for Android apps for some time and then it became mandatory from a certain API level. In less than two years, TLS became a common standard.

Today we are pleased to announce that 80% of Android apps encrypt traffic by default. For applications targeting Android 9 and higher, the percentage is even higher. 90% of them encrypt traffic by default.

Mandatory measures guarantee more security

You can see from the time that follows how important that duty can be. Before, nobody cared about TLS, today it looks very different.
