Suicide Squad star Will Smith first admitted that he and his wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, had marital problems. Apparently, Hollywood stars didn’t do it all alone.
Rumor has been boiling over for a long time: Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith’s marriage is said to be about to end. It is said that constant disputes and even infidelities were the reason for this. So far, the couple, who have two children together and have been married for 19 years, have denied everything. But now, the 47-year-old man spoke clearly for the first time: he and his 44-year-old wife were actually having massive problems and therefore sought out a couples therapist for counseling. That saved their marriage, Will Smith said.
“What happens during marriage counseling: The truth comes out,” the actor confessed to the British newspaper “The Sun”. He and his wife would not have considered each other and would have told each other the whole truth. A strange moment for both, as Will Smith describes: “They look at each other and they don’t think they can love each other again now that the truth has been told.”
A second chance for love?
But therapy seems to have done them both good, for the actor, in his own words, it was “the dark before dawn.” This kind of cleaning paved the way for them to understand each other better and get the relationship back on track, Smith said. Jada is already the second wife of the movie star. From 1992 to 1995 he was married to actress Sheree Zampino.
It’s great that Will Smith has the courage to speak publicly about his marital problems. We believe that it is even better that the couple received help; after all, you can’t always do everything on your own. Perhaps the example of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith motivates others to take this step.
