Windows 10 on scrapped Android smartphones, the subject could pick up speed on the mod scene in the near future.
Windows 10 is also available in an ARM edition, which can therefore theoretically also be installed on smartphones with ARM processors. This currently includes some older devices from Samsung, Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Google. The basis for a reasonably smooth installation is probably the Snapdragon 835 chip, which was integrated into the American Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Xiaomi Mi 6, for example. First of all, proper installation and commissioning will work.
However, many parts of the operating system are out of sync and therefore cannot be used. Still, it’s always interesting to see what developers / modders can manage. For a long time, an old HTC smartphone was also known for the fact that it could be equipped with the new Android every year, although the device was originally based on Windows Mobile.

Imagine if we could equip somewhat older smartphones with Windows 10 and turn them into compact mini PCs. Anyway, it would be something really cool. Monitor via USB-C, mouse and keyboard via Bluetooth. Internet via WiFi and for total reliability, a SIM card could be integrated. However, modders would have to work miracles to achieve proper compatibility.
