Xiaomi introduced the Mi 8 in May last year, so we are slowly entering the hot phase of the new Mi 9. Xiaomi could build some special features on the new flagship. This includes a new fast charge, which should result from a certification. A maximum of 27 watts is possible, as the docs already reveal. That would not necessarily be mega fast, since one or another manufacturer already offers more.

Fast charging is a must these days

More recently, the Mi 8 came with a power supply with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3, and the smartphone could even handle Quick Charge 4. Maybe Xiaomi will use its own system in the future? In any case, this has not been done before, while Huawei, Samsung, OnePlus, Vivo and other manufacturers each use a proprietary fast charge.

In addition to its own “Fast Charge”, Xiaomi could also install a new fingerprint sensor on the Mi 9. At least there was an official video about it just a few days ago, the new sensor should cover a larger area and be more effective in detection. (via)
